CancelLed due to Covid-19

After careful consideration, the Fort Smith Children’s Shelter Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel Havana Nights 2020. While Havana Nights is an integral part of who we are as an organization—becoming the platform that allows us to personally connect with our supporters—with the current upward trend of COVID-19 cases, it is becoming less likely that we can safely provide the kind of experience our supporters have come to expect. Having postponed the date once, doing so again was not a favorable option.

While the Coronavirus pandemic impacts nearly everything we do as a society, the needs of the children and young adults we serve cannot be adjourned. With your support, the Children’s Shelter will continue to fulfill our mission of caring for and protecting children and young adults in foster care. Although this task is much more difficult within the constraints of COVID-19, our kids deserve our best! We hope you will help ensure this by making a donation today!

The proceeds from Havana Nights cover nearly 30% of the Children’s Shelter operating budget. Canceling the event creates a financial hardship. On behalf of the Fort Smith Children’s Shelter Board of Directors, Havana Nights committee, and the youth we serve, we are humbly asking for you to consider a financial contribution in lieu of the money you would have spent to attend the event.

Although the uncertainty of the pandemic could possibly extend beyond the foreseeable future, we hope that you will continue to support our children in crisis.

We look forward to Havana Nights 2021. By then, we all will be more than eager to resume the best event in town and to once again Party With A Purpose!

Best wishes to all and please stay safe!
